Project 1 & 2
Requirement:
Your main intention is to analyse the "delivery mechanism's" that affect
the outcomes of your infographics. Though content is imppoortant however the
aim of this presentation is to look at what makes an infographic
presentation work or does not work. This includes content but only as one of
the many compoonents of an infographic:
Part 1: Infographic poster
Instruction:
1. Choose 1 infographic poster design (that is not well design) from
Internet
2. Redesign the poster into A4 size. Sketch the idea and process
3. Redesign and simplify the poster based on visual hierarchy &
typography
4. Simplify the poster's design based on color, shape & pattern
5. Attach your final poster on E-Portfolio with explanation and reflective
writing

I picked the topic that is 'Business Plan' poster, in this poster it was not easy to look and look messy. I wanted to play around with it and make it feel more fun and clean. Instead of the usual serious, formal vibe and follow nowdays trend that is using gradient then I approached it like a poster design that something cool, visual and easier to see.
Process

Figure 1.6 Attempt poster
For this poster, I used bold hierarchy by placing the main title in the center that will making it the first thing the viewer notices. Then I arranged the ten steps in a flowing path using consistent hexagon shapes and simple line icons
to keep everything easy to follow. The gradient colors move from warm to cool, helping each section stand out without feeling overwhelming. By keeping the typography clean and spacing balanced, the overall layout feels modern and organized.

Part 2: Minimal animated infographic
Instruction:
1. Animate your infographic poster into one static loop animation page
2. Loop duration in between 15- 30 second
3. Size: 1080px x 1920px (vertical video) upload to your own Youtube channel
At first, I animated some of the icons. After receiving feedback from my lecturer, I began refining the design by exploring new approaches including adding word and pop op text to highlights that appears when each section is introduced.

FEEDBACK
Week 9
- It needs more balance view for negative and positive place
Week 10
- Animation can also follow traffic light rule
REFLECTIVE
This assignment taught me how much visual hierarchy, clean data and simple animation is important to improve a design for audience to view. The original poster was cluttered and hard to follow to see, so I separated the information into clearer graphs and used clean gradient to change it. After feedback, I refined the animation by adding pop-up text and highlights to guide the viewer through each section. Even thought I struggled at first with illustration and timing, exploring diffrent animation techniques helped me create a smoother and more engaging flow. Overall, this project helped me understand what makes data clearer, visible and I hope to keep improving my eye for effective infographic design.
